ok seriously i need on to that site to get the stereo wiring diagram so i can figure out what key on wire is. can some body PLEASE help me. ive tried it a million differant ways and it never lets me on.........

I just tried to log on and it said a 6 alphadigi was need for the user id. I had to re-register. Might be your problem. I looked through there but couldn't find what you were asking.

Take that back I found it. What head unit do you have? Found the schematic.

cd mp3. i got on but i dont know what wires go to my after market head unit
im trying to find out what wire turns the h/u off when the key if off and out. i tried all remaining wires and blew the fuse anumber of times. its really pissing me off

sure. the red and yellow are power and memory. black is ground. i know the channel wires i just cant figure out how to turn the h/u off when the key isnt on

Number 11 is the ACC and number 12 is the battery. That is based on a 24 prong audio connector. It looks like this . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1st dot is 1, 2nd is 2 etc 2nd line starts 13, 14, etc.

Did you say you had gotten onto the HMA site?

i did but it didnt help me. it doesnt tell which wire turns on and off the stereo when the key is in the ignition.

i do. i will tommorrow when i get to work. i didnt think it would be such a pita to install a h/u never had any problems in the past, maybe its cuse its a new car. did you know that if you disconnect your stereo and start the car the digital clock doesnt work? the green wire that runs to the oem h/u also has an effect on the clock. and if you cut the yellow wire to the switch for fog lights none of your exterrior lights work?? engineers at hyundai are retarded

The clock thing sounds pretty goofy... Engineers do stupid stuff all so the company can save $0.00001 a unit. :grin:
