I'm fairly sure all cars sold in North America are OBD or OBD2 now.
I also believe our cars run a form of the Canbus communications protocol, with a delphi ECU.
In theory, some GM hacking company should be able to figure ours out, but I don't think anyone has.

It's really too bad, with an improved 1-2 shift, and all around crisper shifts while in autostick mode the car would be much more fun to drive.
Maybe a bit of fuel tuning, which would improve power AND mileage and the sonata would be a real serious contender.
