Hello, My son has had a 1995 accent, recently he tells me it has been intermittently acting sluggish, the cars has been using way too much gas, and the check engine light comes on sometimes too…. Does that sound like an O2 problem? How many sensors does this car have?
Second question, we changed batteries, and the radio went dead, his vin is KMHVD14N7SU014443
The radio model number is H810xut serial number ed50106566. When I hold the 4 number when the key is in acc mode it looks like, using a tic-tac-toe grid the first set of horizontals are empty, the middle horizontal has a dash in the top and bottom spaces only, and the third has a dash in all three spaces…can anyone help?

it's fuel injection, so the heads could use cleaning if they've never been. Sears just tried to get me to do it for $70 but I didn't have the symptoms you've got. Or water... but if it's reocurring probably not.

Everything is wack about the 95's audio. I was going to say that it might be a fuse on the back of the factory tape deck (pain in the **** to get to it) it snapped on mine and didn't check it, and went without the radio for far to long....

But if you are still getting charecters or ''something'' from the screen it must still be getting power.

Whenever I unplug the unit and plug it back in it just says "CODE" until I put the code it, then boots back on.

Sorry if I wasn't helpful enough. Goooooood luck! It really is a pain to get to the wiring and such behind the factory deck. If you attempt to do that on your own, plllease check the forums here on how to get that monster off. all the heating.cooling controls are tethered to the main faceplate. but just do a search in the forum and you should find some good results.
