Hi, I love my CRDi Terracan and it has towed my camper beautifully BUT I have had two major meltdowns in the last 7 months.. The first was when the tiiming chain ( or belt whatever it is) jumped a few cogs after 62000kms thus causing major internal damage. Hyundai did replace the motor so although the car was off the road for 3 weeks i did end up with a new motor. Ar 74300 i had it serviced, and 250 kms later the engine check light came on and I lost all power. It had to be towed into the Hyundai dealer and it turns out that it is something along the lines of metal filings or shavings (I am having trouble getting back on to the service bloke tro clarify) that have got into the fuel lines and caused major engine damage. He said it was a problem with some Hyundais. The parts will cost $6000 and take about 20 - 23 hours work to fix. Thankfully it is still under warranty. What annoys me is that I am again without the car for at least a week (its now been 5 days). I am pedantic about servicing and cheking oil etc and never drive it above 100ks an hour. Has anyone else had these type of prpoblems? Des
