hello to fellow 'jetters,

i have noticed with my trajet that sometimes when the aircondition is on, i noticed that the way the engine idles specially if i am stuck on traffic, it's a bit rough (not rough to the point the engine is struggling but the seats are shaking), when i turn off the airconditioning system, it idles smooth, there is no sign of loss of power specially during take-off, just noticed the rough idling. does anyone know how to adjust the idling to a V6 2.7 ltr.? thanking you all in advance....

I don't think there's anyway to adjust the idling. Every thing is control by the ECU.
As for your problem, have you tried changing the Spark plug or check the cables?

the above post is right, you can not adjust the idle speed. are you sure the air con. compressor is not loose on it's mountings and causing it to vibrate?

i did changed the spark plugs last year, i used the recomended plugs for this model which they told me should last for at least around 60,000 to 90,000 km.
as for the leads, maybe i should try changing it too. tell me, if there is something wrong with the plugs or the leads, the car should at least be shaky and i could hear the engine sound like it's coughing or choking. but it's not, and upon take off from a full stop, i have no problem,it accelarates smoothly as if nothing's wrong. but i'll still do your avised and that of montego, thanks a million guys.....i'll keep you posted...... :460:

or probably i'm just too paranoid about that thing i feel about the car. but never the less, i'll check those things you suggested to check. the last time i replaced the leads was back two years ago (i think), is there any time span that the leads should be replaced? i know that the plugs that i used in this model is to be replaced every 60,000 to 90,000 kms. the same time that the rear plugs have to be replaced (V6 2.7 ltr). i forgot the term they call those spark plugs, (they are the pointed type ones), something sound like irridium plugs? (i'll check my service book). again, thanks for your help......cheers.....
