Drives: 2002 XG350
'02 XG350 with 155k Km on the clock. The transmission has started a noise which varies with road speed and does not vary whether in Drive or Neutral. My guess is CV joint(s)? It could also be a wheel bearing but they generally make a throbbing noise when going bad.

Any input?

this is very hard to tell without hearing the noise first hand. generally a wheel bearing would make a 'drone/whine noise which would get louder the faster the speed. a c.v. joint would usually make a knocking noise like a machine gun mainly when turning on full lock
