My Azera door speaker covers are covered in cloth and my car happens to have a beige interior. As hard as I try, I get the odd foot scuff mark on the cloth. I don't understand why they put cloth on these speakers (yes it does look nice but not too practice). Does anyone have have comments if I have any options to replace these cloth covers or how I can get the black scuff marks off of the speaker cover cloth without any damage?

I have a couple small marks on my beige speaker cover as well, but as they're invisible with the door closed and not all that obvious with the door open, I don't worry about it. It might well be easier to go all the way and get some black cloth dye and carefully do 'em up entirely black, but then, don't be wearing any white shoes!...

Mine are light gray. It seems as though no matter how careful I am, they still get scuffed up. I am anal when it comes to the cleanliness of my cars but I have all but given up on this one.

The cloth definitely looks richer than the usual plastic but it sure is a pain. The only answer I can come up with is to enter the car without shoes. :)

Shout-wipes. They work wonders. (Baby wipes actually do just as well in a pinch)

I've had my Azera for 8 months now and no scuffs on the speaker cloth and I'm a big guy with big feet. I think that the "easy out" feature has really helped (I'm also very anal about things like scuffs and scratches and such).

With the "easy out" feature, you get plenty of room to step out of the car without getting near the speaker with your feet , not to mention that it really is easier to get out of the car. If you don't already have the car programed for "easy out", try moving the seat all the way back before you leave the car and see if it makes a difference.

I know the scuff marks you speak of. If Shout wipes don't work...try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser...it should do the trick. It's also very good at making the dash surfaces look new again too. Also, if you have any stains on your leather that don't seem to come out...use it there as well. However, please note...the Magic Eraser will leave a residue behind that a clean damp cloth will do away with. On leather...use a good conditioner when done to moisturize the leather too.

Just a lil FYI!!!

Boy I'm glad it's not just me - both of our cars have beige interiors and I was worried that I'm just particularly clumsy, I've managed to scuff those speaker covers so many times. I am also anal-retentive about the condition of my cars - but I know when to give up, when I've gotten a few years and many miles of good utility out of a car I think, you expect to see some wear, and the car has earned itself a few minor battle wounds. Of course, our cars are 6 and 12 weeks old, respectively... I imagine the overlapping scuffs will have effectively dyed the speaker covers black in their totality by the end of the first year!

It won't get that bad. I've had my Azera for 2 years now and the scuffs are minimal.

I have the easy out on and just watch my feet when I get out. The few times I did mark it I just used a little dawn and washed it off.

Rocky brand brown steel toe boots.....I overhaul Army tanks. I would not be caught dead with any penny loafers on these dogs. :bwekk:

Hahaha, I was going to say - must have small feet, LOL :bwekk:

I guess I could try just being careful when I get out of the car... hadn't thought of that!

Of course - the door return spring is VERY weak on both of our cars, not sure if it's endemic to the Azera, but it's hard to prop the door open - very heavy and it swings itself closed, seemingly even on level ground. Many of the scuffs are just because the door is swinging closed just as I'm trying to pull my foot in.

Oh well, labours gladly undertaken to have such a nice car!

I bought my Azzie last July, and it already had scuff marks from the detail guy. They cleaned it out, but pulled the cloth out a little in doing so, and it had this "bubble". There is no way to just replace the cloth covers, so they had to order the entire door panel and replace it. Not a very good design measure by any means.
