I've had my 08 elantra for about 2 months now and I"ve noticed some scratches developing on the plastics on the door closes to the window glass. I've tried scratching this area with my nail and a light run of my nail leaves a big white mark. I can't seem to rub them off and I've also tried using armor all and rubbing the heck out of them with a microfiber cloth. Not sure what to do, I'm used to my tiburon that I had before. It had really high quality plastics and these are too soft. :-( How do I keep my car looking new on the inside? It's carbon gray with the gray interior.

Vasoline is the best plastics treatment. Put it on with a glove and wipe off with clean cloth. The enemy of plastics is loss of plasticizers. Much like skin, the best way to prevent this loss is by blocking the evaporative surface. This is an old car trick. If you get the scented vasoline, you don't have to use air fresheners.
