hello all.

I'm having trouble finding a full suspension kit for my S Coupe.

So far i have found only 1 in europe.
Weitech - £350 from www.europerformance.com.

Is this a good make?

Does anyone know if any one else has suspension kits?

It.s driving me mad!

Thanks

Coil overs have to be custom made. There are lowering springs from:

Eibach (I have), Cobra (My mate has), Spax, Weitec, Suplex and from GTS Suspension which has a struts too and possibility to choose from 40/30mm lowering set or 60/30mm lowering set with shortened struts. In this set the struts are modified KYBs.

Others struts are Boge, Koni (I have) and standard KYBs.

I am not supportin Weitec suspension components at all as they seems to be rubbish and can't take much punishment without breaking.

Don`t be hung-up on buying from Europe!.

Performance Styling Centre in Australia sell Pedders suspension for your car & I found that (including air-freight) the quality & total cost was competitive with anything I could buy anywhere else.
Delivery was fairly quick too!.

Cheers,
Nick.

I driving on a Weitec suspension set (35mm springs+shocks). Almost for a year now. They suffer alot here with all the speedbumps. Also because something what I find is not good of set.

The front parts are good or OK, but de springs and/or shocks are too soft. Think mayb the rear springs are bad. Springs have maybe 6 windings but only use about 1.5. Which causes the car to bonk when driving on bumps on the highway (140+ kph) or on speedbumps with passenger(s) in the back.

Think of replacing rear springs/dampers. Any syuggestions for real stiff shocks/springs?
Will take a pic in the weekend if its dry sometime.

My Koni/Eibach combination is extremely stiff, no bouncing at all almost. We have here in Finland Europes worst roads almost, not fun with car like this which suspension isn't that great from factory and you can finally destroy its functionality with lowering springs and wrong shocks.

How about that Pedder units are the shocks shortened? They could work better with lowered car.

Eye lid...can you give me some detail as to how you set yours up?

Eibach springs + Koni is a good mix and I think that is the best way to go (if i do not buy from Austrailia)

Can you tell me what car your bought yours for and what you had to modify to make them fit?

Even a couple of pics?

Thanks,

Hope these pics help.

These Konis really are meant to Scoupes as I ordered them with that name and they fit here. In front of the car you have to use original mcpherson-joints and put the koni tube inside there and you have to shorten the bump stops 35mm-40mm to avoid suspension bottoming out.

I just checked how the car stands with my springs in back and it's pretty much same as your weitec springs. there are windings but only something like 1.5 are only used. That's weird?

Is this satisfying reply? :)
