Hi

I'm new to the site, and would like some information......

The story goes....
My girlfriend drives a 2005 getz, and was involved in an accident last week, where she "t-boned" a megane, and the airbags on the getz did not deploy.

So i want to know, how the actual airbag sensors work?
What sort of an impact does it require to deploy?

thanks
Justin

Well the manual says that they deploy "only in certain front-end collisions". So I guess that the crash did not satisfy the Getz' fussy criteria!

It was a head on collision, and there was enough impact to mangle the slam tray and the chassis tray.

so any idea on the specifics?
