QUOTE(dansaaf @ May 6 2008, 03:34 PM)
I took my roofbars to Halfords on sunday and it turns out that the Thule Footpack looks identical to the 4903 rebadged by Hyundai. I can't be 100% certain of the fitting kit that holds the aero bars to the 4903's but the feet that connect to my side rails are definately 4903's part of the 4900 series.

I'm not sure if anyone else can confirm the fitting kit number? I hope this helps, give it a whirl from Halfords, the guys there have said any issues they will happily refund.

Thanks

- many thanks StoneIce. Unfortunately, the AUS Thule rep has proved to be uncooperative... the 4903 is the larger part of the riddle - I'll just have to trial & error the rubbers - parts 4910 - 4919..... wish me luck. Was hopping that it would be as simple as a Subaru 4900/4912 pack, but alas.... I'm assuming that the fit kit (rubber adapter) is not conveniently stamped w/ a 4910 to 4919#....?

I think someone else has already mentioned this somewhere else on the forum but I noticed the other day that the latest Santa Fe roof rails are the same as those on the latest 2007 / 2008 Kia Carens.

Unfortunately I haven't found a dealer that sells roof bars for the Carens yet either....

Also, dansaaf what size of aero bar do you have - 861?

460R Footkit for Aero bars

460 Footkit for regular Thule bars

Both use the 3024 Fit Kit to attach to the factory rails

Yes, I have 861's they are slightly longer than I'd like but they don't look odd.

Thanks - is that for the new Santa Fe with integrated roof rails? I though the 460's were for the older version.

Just put bars on my new 2008 tonight using a 3024 podium kit, and 460 foot pack. Used a 58 inch bar which overhangs just a touch, but will hopefully accommodate two kayaks with no problem.

Cheers,

Eric
