I have been informed that i will be able to piece together a cai or sri, and that i will be the online dealer for a distributer. i will fabricate a test fit for the 3g accents only (other guys are doing other cars). for the first 20 people who sign up for the set up they will get it for distributer cost.

its a modulated setup so it comes in pieces and you put it together. today i can HOPEFULLY get the test piece made up and tommorow i can get it to the distributer for sizing and cost.

Will this unit have a mounting bolt to hold it in place (like the AEM's), or will it just lay loose in the engine compartment?

Any colors for the pipe?

Also, whose filter will you be using?

Finally, price?

Inquiring minds would like to know...

I agree, I would love one, but I need to know the specifics, and could you make them in Red?

On the dealer AEM SRI, they have a stud welded to the pipe that bolts up somewhere near the ECU to keep the pipe from hanging just from the rubber sleeve by the throttle body. The AEM unit also has a heat shield to install to protect the ECU also.

One of the websites has mounting instructions you can look at.

well i dont think the heat shield is to protect the ecu. its there to hold the ecu cuse once you remove the oe air box the ecu has nothing to mount to

Yah I love hearing the "We'll make a SRI" but they fail to say if it'll have a heat shield, mounting for ECU and mount bracket for intake tubing. The AEM one is by far the best built kit out there, hands down! it just cost a lot of cash. But until you can make a kit that's the same or better don't bother trying to rip people off becasue if it's just an bent pipe that fits then people get it built your self. you will be about to do it even cheaper.

i had everything made up and the order ready to go but the company that was going to supply the parts backed out and said it was too much of a risk and too little of a market. bunch of **** holes if you ask me. but for those who may still want to get it go to

spectreperformance.com
get two 90 degree bends 4 or 6 inch tube and two silicone connecters get the filter you want. shouldnt be more then 100$ or so

and komptek is right it is a bent tube but the point is that it was going to be a kit for cheaper then AEM which is charging 7 times more then the parts it requires.
i said screw the company and now im putting on a straight filter off the intake... gonna be sweet
