Hello,

I've been offered a very good nick Nisssan 200sx T25 Turbo for £150.

I know it can bolt straight on once the casting is "rotated" to fit but I have other questions.

1. What differences will this have on the cars perfomance. e.g. Better? Worse? lag? Over Boosting? Gasket Explosion?!

2. Can I bolt this on without any modifications. e.g. Intercooler? Oil Cooler?

3. Is it worth it or shall I buy a recon T15 which we all know will work?

Any and all info is much appreciated.

Thanks guys,

aj7

DO NOT BUY ANOTHER T1.5, the Scoupe turbo came out under powerd to support the warrentee. my motor handled 300bhp + before it broke!

there will be NO draw backs , some will say you gonna pick up lag,but they are wrong, the only thing is booost response will be slower. not lag.(you will have more power over a longer RPM range)

when you put on the intercooler you will pick up lag but it will be replensihed with power/flow...

when you use the T25 the boost came later but you can drive with more boost as the T15...it make more fun to drive...

to fit the T25 you have to cut about 5mm from the engine holder and you need to make a new downpipe for the exhaust..also you need the oilflange from the t25 (from the t15 ist a little bit smaller)...an oilcooler is not needed but I recommend to use one... in stock with the T15 wihout oilcooler you have about 130°C oiltemp. so the durability of your engine is better with one

if you have the choise use the T25!

I've decided against going for a T25.

I've been told by Scoupe t25 that it's too much ahssle to use.

I've opted to either buy another T15 now or when I know mine is "giving up the ghost.

Thanks.

I got a reconditioned T15 now (mine broke down a month ago), dont have money and resources yet for a T25. So maybe some time later.

Clearly not as oil starts to degrade at 121 degrees C, and breaks down and becomes thinner, which will lead rather swiftly to no engine!

Drives: Modified (180 b.h.p.) `95 Hyundai S-Coupe Turbo SE ....Sadly now sold & replaced with an `04 Alfa Romeo 156 2-litre Veloce! :-http://aol.photobox.co.uk/album/thumbnails.html?c_album=7089276&page=all

Due to the hot-running of thr S-Coupe Turbo, all modified cars need an oil-cooler & the use of pure synthetic oil is pretty-much a must.

I used Mobil 15W/50 in summer & Halford`s (Comma) 5W/40 in winter.....although the latter is really a bit too thin for a tuned high-mileage car, but there`s not too much choice in the U.K. when it comes to pure synthetic.....unless you buy online.

Nick. :)

Then you were never really serious about makeing more power, Modifying isnt easy. now listen here. by upgradeing to a T2.5 how much more power would you of made? now if you were N/A you would spend x3 amount of money. now does it still look like TOO MUCH HASSEL? if its too much hassel go buy a Already 2.0L turbo from the factory. Turbo car's are the EASIEST to exstract power.

OIL COOLER will make your engine last TWICE AS LONG, my new build is getting one.

You need capable hands to work on these cars and you need other people in the trade to care about you(or your car) and want you to succedd then they will help you, it goes further than just about money...

These cars needs more than money, they need passion and some fire that you really want these cars to go. I think Swizer Turbo made it clear.

and what is the most important thing that it needs the OWNER who has enough balls to do it against all the odds and claims from others and keep the faith going on when the negative things happens in your journey to make it go.

please, go ahead with the honda or nissan if you're made of milk and don't have the balls to take the challenge. There's plenty of information lying on the net how to build fast honda or nissan but who would really care or be interested?
