hey guys i had a question for you. my car has been stalling like a stick when the clutch gets poped. its only when im going from a stop. it starts bucking as soon as i push the gas. then will hop about 3-5 times and then die. i turn back the key then start it up and its back to normal again. its happened twice so far. but ive also noticed a loss of power while driving. i dont have the money to have it fixed so i want to do it myself. my guess is that its fuel filter but if any of you have had or heard about this problem before and know if its something else please let me know before i start working on the wrong thing. thanks in advance for any help.

i havent seen one. is it by the check engine and battery lights? i havent seen any lights on the dash come on except for when it stalls and then the check engine and battery lights go on. i also noticed i left out some info. it is the 3.5l and it has 85,000 miles. it happens in auto mode. ive only used the autostick once since i owned the car so i dont think that could be messing with anything.

it's unusual for the cel light (engine check light) not to come on with a fault like this. are all the obvious things o/k? (plugs, wires, filtres etc) the other thing l can think off is the air flow meter (this can cause problems without turning on the cel light) l know you may well be hard up but this problem really needs to be sorted by checking the vehicle on the hyundai scanner. l believe that in the u.s. autozone will do this for free.if the scanner does not throw up any codes l would try the air flow meter first.

I had same trouble like the ones. Servis Hyundai CZ had to interchange immobilization system, control section ignition and throttle on fuel delivery system. At our place trouble was c. 55000 Kc (3000 USD). Today car goes OK.
