Right now my car is in enough of a need of a good washing that the pollen wouldn't make that much of a difference. You're right though, these dark colors sure show the small amounts of dust/pollen quickly.

My dad has a silver '06 Sonata, and he's said he'd rather have a bolder color -- something that really looked nice when it was clean since silver is one of those colors that never looks terrible when it's dirty, but it never looks as astounding when it's clean as the darker colors. My wife's white Elantra is the same. White looks nice when it's clean, but you just don't notice the luster on a lighter colored car like you do with a darker car.

I'm sure there will be someone, though, who will argue that point with me, so let me add that it's only MY OPINION...
