Hey all-
I am a new Sonata owner and currently in possession of a new 07 SE V6 Dark Cherry Red. (My previous cars were a Mazda6s, and a VW Passat 1.8T).
Any other owners of the dark Cherry Red? I am debating going back for a white one but the white one did not have the homelink/auto dim mirror, power drivers seat or CD Changer. These items seem to make the car a little nicer.
I am thinking that once I get the windows tinted, the Dark CR will be nice.
Love to hear everyones thoughts.
Thanks!

i can only assume that the Dk Cherry Red is the same color as Dk Cinammon with a different name? I have the 06 Dk Cinammon... didn't want a black or white car, and was quite sick of blue (last 3 cars were blue).. as MABuch said, it looks quite different in the sun than in the dark.. it looks almost plum in the dark, but has a nice metallic red look in the sun...
the darker color does show a bit more dirt than say the Silver or Gray, but not nearly as bad as black..
i have had nothing but compliments on the color of my car from everyone who has seen it (other than my wife, who likes her blue Tucson better, silly girl)...
i think its "just different enough" to stand out a little bit from the other Black, White or Silver/Gray sedans out there.. i know many will argue that, but i wanted something just a bit different, and i like the color...

Welcome and congratulations. I think the dark cherry red / dark cinnamon is a distinctive and elegant color. I’d keep it. You mentioned taking the car back. Is that really an option? If you bought the car, drove it off the lot, and the dealership titled the car, doesn’t that make it a used car? If the dealership takes it back, won’t they have to sell it at as used car and take a substantial loss on the transaction? I could be wrong, but I can’t see any dealership doing that.

Thanks Everyone...it seems that the Dk red is a popular enough color...I was a little concerned at first.....Re the white one, my wife almost bought it, but opted for a santa fe instead...then I started questioning the red. I think I am happy with it as it has several more extras.
As far as titling it...not sure but if no paperwork has been turned in yet, can't they just rip it up and start over.

I don’t know how it works in Tennessee, but in New Jersey, once the Division of Motor Vehicles gets the paperwork, its irrevocable. Usually dealerships send their motor vehicle work out each day. If more than one day has passed, the probability of your dealership still holding your title work decreases a lot. I like your color and would not change it. But if this is something you want to do, time is of the essence. Call your dealership and see if this option is still available.

Dark Cinammon was a special edition color that was only offered in 06. The Dark Cherry is more of a cross between maroon and red. I love both colors.
