Hi Guys, new to the site and like what I see :)

I hope you can help me.
Just purchased a 1995 accent and just started getting noises coming from the off side of the car.

At the rear of the car I'm getting like a thud sound as I go over speed bumps and pot holes and every now and again I get a thud from the front when I go over speed bumps and turning right
I've checked the rool bar on the front and everything seems to be ok.

Anyone out there offer me some advise?

your car is 12 years old and therefor there could be many issues here, the years will have taken their fair share of wear and tear from your car. there could be a number of causes including worn suspension bushes, worn shock absorbers or their mountings, worn roll bar bushes, worn steering parts etc. you need to have the car jacked up and then check the whole thing over with a pry bar

probbly worn strut mounts, ours do that over bumps in parking lots etc but not at speed...

Hi guys,
found the problem.
It was the bolt which ties the anti roll bar to the rear wishbone that had snapped.
Replaced it myself, and it only cost 20 pounds for the full kit :grin:

Now I've got to try and sort out the knocking on the front of the car now :(

I had a kinda creaking / popping sound in the front left of my 95' accent, turned out to be a ''ball joint' was pretty cheap and no big deal, had a menieke do it. dunnno if thats your prob, but I was all freakin out thinking it'd be struts/shocks something like that, but no biggie.

hi i read ur post im new to this site,still not quite sussed how it works yet,but i wondered if u could help me on my hyundai accent i have two bolts on either sides of front wheels that have came loose and the rods r not sitting in the holes there ment to,i have a picture but dont know how to send it,do you think this is the same problem as yours with the anti roll bar bolt?
