hey every one im new to this, and im also a firs time tib owner. i receantly bought a 97 2.0L tib for 500.00 (neede a tranny) so i found one frome an elantra the guy at the junk yard sayed it fit. well it runs but i wa expecting a lot more because of what i had heard.
well now i need to beef it up but cant find partsany ideas.
need the following


better cams, fuel rail, bigger injectors, turbo would be nice, and any thing else u can think of.
does any one know of an ecu chip for this year tib or any way to by pass the rev. limiter.
and is there a difference in the trannys from elantra to tib.

All of your questions have been answered, especially since you have a 10 year old Tib. You have the Beta 1.8 liter. Remember that the Kia Spectra has the same engine block, and many parts are interchangeable.

Use the search feature with 'turbo', 'chip', 'injectors'. We also have a Performance section you can search.

If you don't find all the answers you want, I also recommend newtiburon.com.

thanks for the info but what is the differance from the 2.0 to the 1.8 is it the same block
