Drives: 1999 hyundai accent 1.5L,2001 hyundai accent 1.6L
IM PUTTING IN A 2001 HYUNDAI ACCENT 1.6L DOHC ENGINE IN TO A 1999 HYUNDAI ACCENT CAR WHICH HAD A 1.5L SOHC IN IT.GOT EVERYTHING SWITCHED OVER BUT WONDERING IF THE ECM MODULE WILL LET IT RUN CONSIDERING IT IS FOR A 1.5 SOHC AND IT WILL BE RUNNING (MAYBE) A 1.6 DOHC. IF I NEED TO, CAN I REPROGRAM THE ECM? IM OPEN TO ANY ADVICE, CONCERNS, ETC....THANX

FIRST, please stop using all caps.

With the complexities of modern cars, you should always attempt to move over the engine compartment wiring harness and ECM for the least swap problems. While you may be able to reprogram the ECM, moving over the 1.6 liter ECM has the fewest questions.
