Hi all,
I bought my mum a 200 X plate Amica 1l GSi Auto. It was fine for a month or so, then it started stalling when you pulled up and were waiting in traffic, It would start up again as soon as you turned the key, so we took it back to the dealer. The dealer put it on a test and it showed no fault codes. He had a mechanic clean the injectors. This solved the prob for a couple of days but then it came back. Now it has started to stall when you are driving as well as stationary. The dealer is going to take another look but has anyone else experienced this problem, or have any idea what could be causing it?
Yours hopefully
Geof

Hi,
When the dealer took the car back he said he was going to flush system. I am not sure if filter has been changed. Is it the usaul clips and twist type filter or is it a pain to change. I have driven the car now and it stalled 3 times in 3 minutes when stuck in traffic. It seems to drive lovely as long as you never stop. I was wondering if it could be the idle control valve.

Fuel filter is not that easy to chahge as you can easily break the fuel pipes. Check for air leaks in the system and then have the HT Circuit IAC/MAP and TPS sensors checked
