I think we use 5w-30 in the 97 accent.

Well if you would really like to keep this car in good shape you might go the Amsoil synthetic route.

I use their European 5W-40 here in Wisconsin, there are three weights of oils listed on their site and also in the manual that came with the car and here it is, depending on temp...

I also use their synthetic oil filter which filters down to I beleive 1 or 2 microns.

Hope this helps you out... This oil exceeds Mobil One standards. It's also afordable being you Can run this oil longer than the Dino oils.

Or, go down tesco, they have high spec Fully synthetic for £8 for 2 litres

One and a half tubs fills my 1300, engines is SUPER smooth now, cant hear it on idle, lovely soft revs.

Worth it over any semi dino, as it's always going to have a better rating, whoever makes it!
