I have been shopping for a Veracruz. Is Xenon available? I would find it hard to believe that a flagship car for Hyundai does not offer Xenon! I have xenon on my Mazda 3 and this is the starter car for the Mazda line!!!

I can't seem to find anything in the brochure.

I know what you mean..

Sadly, none of the Veracruz's come with xenon headlights. They only have halogen bulbs. :(

I think Hyundai should start offering Xenon headlights on there cars. In the middle east market the Sonata, Azera, Veracruz have HIDs as an option

It is a very pricey option. I owned a 2002 BMW 535i with Xenons and the cost was over $800.

You can add Xenon as an aftermarket, or get Sylvania ULTRA Halogen bulbs which are as close to the bluish/white color beam as you can get...

For those who have owned the car for a while, how is night and bad weather visibility with the headlights? How about the high beams and fog lights?

Just picked up my new VC Limited on Friday night. No rain yet, but night driving is much improved over my Azera...

However, I still enjoy the whiter lights I had with the Xenons on my Bimmer, so I will be replacing the low beams with Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs.

I bought these replacement H11 lamps back in November for my 07:

I think they beat any replacement lamp you can buy in the US ( and I have tried most of them).

A little expensive, when you consider shipping, but a H*** of a lot less than HID's.

Worth every penny. I love 'em :)

I believe the 2008 Veracruz takes H7 low beam bulbs.

I installed a pair of Sylvania SilverStar Ultras in my Azera and it made a world of difference as far as brightness. However, it still doesn't come close to Xenons.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is any difference between the 07 and 08 headlamps. Low beams are H11 not H7. I will be interested to hear what you find when you pull them apart to change the lamps.
The guy I talked to at Hoen, before I tried their lamps, said the H11 is a superior lamp to the H7.

I agree, no halogen lamp will ever come close to a true Xenon.

Xenon headlights are standard in 2008 GLS AWD Model here in Dubai, UAE.
