If you've got the handbook have a read of what it says about checking oil levels. I'm pretty sure it says to check it while the engine is at operating temperature - not when it's cold.

That was something that struck me as a being a little unusual but the motor in the Australian Grandeurs is a Mitsubishi motor so perhaps testing the oil level at operating temperature something that has become more common in recent years.

l am affraid l can not find the position of the oil pressure switch (l have never had to change one on the XG) also l can not find any reference to where the switch is located on the hmc website. the best l can say is that it is either mounted on the oil filter housing above the oil filter or screwed into the engine block at the back of the engine, (you may need to have the car up on a lift to check this out but once you have found it it's just a question of pulling off the wire, unscrewing the switch and replacing it

you will need to remove your double din radio equpment.(remove the wood effect plastic facia first) you will then find that your radio and cd/tape are mounted on two rectangle metal plates which in turn are held on the dashboard with four screws on each plate. as you are only going to have a single din radio you will only need one of the mounting plates, mount your new radio into the metal plate and then fix that at the top part of the dashboard, then the plastic trim that l sent will fit around it (see the two photos. on the previous page)..............once you have removed the woodgrain trim it will be obvious to you)........the woodgrain trim basically just pulls off but it is fitted very tightly and you will need to use a strong flat knife ofsome sort to prize it off

Is it hard to replace cold start sensor? Do you know whether it's expensive?
