'granduer 3.0' sorry l have not taken the measurements yet but l'm almost certain that it is all a standard size, the facia panel that is shown on my photo thats fits between the radio and the temp. controls is available in the u.k at a price of around £10 gbp. of course there would be some postage if you wanted sent over

'granduer 3.0' the size of the grey plastic area from the top of the radio to the bottom of the heater controls is 180mm and it is 195mm wide (this is the size of the whole area within the woodgrain effect)

the size from the top of the radio to the top of the heater controls is 110mm

the difference between the heater controls on your vehicle and mine is that you have got air con. and l have got climate control (as have all u.k. models)

l am sure you will find the sizes to be the same as the u.k. models the only difference is that we have got the single din with a shelf under it where your double din is fitted, so you would need the different grey facia that l was talking about earlier

Hello Again Montego,

just another question about the alarm. The volume of the siren is not so loud i was wondering if there was a way of making it louder. And if not then possibly wiring it ot the horn?

your right about that. the siren is mounted under the hood by the washer bottle, it can easily be replaced by a more powerful one which you should be able to buy at any good car spares shop. be careful of the size of the siren that you buy as there is not much room to fit it. you could of course extend the wiring and mount it elsewhere

BTW l have sent you an e-mail

Cheers,

I have replied to your email. i also had a couple of other questions.

1. the headlights: the clear leanse on the exterior of the headlight assembly is clouded. i would much like it to be as crystal clear as possible for performance and it would look soo much nicer. is there a way of cleaning it or do i have to buy a whole new assembly?

2. Passenger Side door handle trim: the trim around the keyhole is broken (when purchased) i don't see it as a priority as it is just a piece of borken plastic trim, however i hate the way it looks. to replace this small part do i need to buy an entire door handle assembly and how would i replace the part, do i remove the interior door panels and attack it from there?

Cheers.
P.S. i will take some pics to show you what i mean.

one of my cars suffers from this headlight problem too. the best way to clear the condensation is to use a hairdryer to warm the headlight glass until the moisture clears, this should last for awhile at least. l don't know how this piece of trim is supplied and l have never changed one, you best check with your agents stores dept. and ask them, l would imagine it comes complete with the lock barrel and you would need to remove the door inside trim to change it

Thanks, about the headlights it's not really a condensation or from moisture. The lense is just cloudy, i think it's just from the headlights themselves over time the heat just got to it. Let me know what you think. Also here are some pics.

still think it's worth trying the hair dryer, if that does'nt work you have no option but to buy a new headlight as they are sealed units, they are also expensive (£220GB) maybe even dearer where you are.......the lock trim looks like a part on it's own but as l said ask at the stores and l still recon you will need the door trim off to replace

Hi,

i have replied to your email.
about the head lights i was driving the other day and i was raining pretty hard so i had the head lights on high beam. when i got out of the car i had a look at the lenses and they looked fine, no cloudyness or anything. so i guess theres not much i can do other that maybe replacing them, but i dont think its worth it so ill live with it. if all it takes is to turn on the headlights and warm up the lenses thats good enough for me. and ill look around for the door handle trim.

cheers.

Hello,

It says Grandeur. but the keyhole is right after the "r" so it looks like grandeuro at a glance. i always throught that was funny, it makes it sound european.

yeah but to answer your question it says "grandeur".

maybe you could try get it off a wreck. or next time a member decides to wreck his/ her grandeur you could purchase the part or the boot assembly whatever suits your needs.

i actually like the fact that it doesnt say hyundai on the car. the only thing that ruins it though is the hyundai logo above the boot strip but i can live with it as its just a logo. i just dont like to see the word hyundai anywhere on the car

i noticed on my dash last night that the oil light was flickering at idle. however as soon as i applied the accelerator it went away. ive checked the oil while warm and it seemed to have enough. ill check it again in the morning when cold to make sure.
i was hoping if you knew about this. your hep would be much appreciated.

when was the last time the oil and filter was changed? if it was recently forget that question, this could be a sign of low oil pressure or maybe just a faulty switch. there is an oil switch on the engine that controls the warning light, it may just be faulty. the switch is cheap and easy to change
