Hi guys just wondered if anyone has replaced the servo on one of these and if it is difficult, had a quick look and I was wondering if you have to disconnetc the brake pipes or you can just remove the servo from the bulkhead and then remove the master cylinder without losing brake fluid/pressure.

I hope the dealer will replace under warranty but hey you never know.

Cheers

Glen

you do not need to remove any brake lines, the master cylinder can be pulled gently away from the servo.

Dear gjp,

Concur with montego.

Mechanical difficulty scale of 1-5 = 2

I have no Amica shop manual, but have included procedures for a 2000 Elantra Brake Booster removal which should be very similar. Attached File  2000_Elantra_Brake_Booster_Removal.doc ( 38.5k ) Number of downloads: 51
