Hi all,
Apologies in advance if this has been debated to death, but from what i can see the last updates to threads was quite a while ago, so I would like some members thoughts and comments on Bio diesel please...
I have a Terracan and i was looking to use bio diesel. I spoken to sevel people and Hyundai who still say that only a 5% bio diesel belnd should be used.
Has anyone been using Bio diesel?? how have you got on....??? I worrired about using bio diesel as I understand it will coorode the neoprene seals in the pump and also strip the fuel pump of its teflon coating which can lead to injectors, fuel lines new pumps having to be replaced....something which will A) Invalidate the warrenty (i have 2006 model) and B)be costly to rectify.
A friend of mine has been cutting his Range Rover (classic Range rover) with a 50/50 mix of petro diesel and Straight vegetable oil with NO problems for about 20000 miles....Again...has anyone had any problems with using SVO???
I am under the impression that Ultra low sulper diesel is harmful to the pump as the sulpher is helpful to keeping the fuel pump loobed...Veggie oil helps with this....Can anyone confirm this fact?????
thanks for taking the time and look forward to your responses.
regards :) Paul
