I've had my Tiburon for about 3 years now and its been great. Just 2 days ago the radio started acting up. When I tried to turn the sound down, it went up. I figured something was wrong but I let it go. It eventually turned down. The next day I got in and the radio wont even turn on. I was just wondering if there's maybe a fuse I can replace and if I need to take out the stereo and check the wires, then can someone please tell how to do it. Thanks for your help.

If it was a fuse the unit would have no power at all.
If it's not doing what the button says when you push it then get a new one, it's little brain has probably gone funny. They aren't exactly expensive to swap out, could even invest in something nicer!

i had the same prob. i just put a contineuity tester [cant spell] to the contacts where the wireing harness plugs in and put it back together and it works fine now and ever sence. if that dont work i would get somthing better.

hm... kinda old post but i was having basically the same problem in my tibby, for christmas though i got a new stereo so we put my old one in my friends cavalier and it works fine now, not sure what the problem was there?

go to bestbuy and spend $100 for a new stereo unit. they install it for free if you buy through them and it looks and sounds alot nicer than the stock

Did you ever fix your radio?
If its the clarion deck this happned to mine too all I had to do was press the reset button with a pin on the inside of the face. Worked perfectly.
