You looking for an installed in vehicle picture or just one of the unit itself.

Can't see very well but good enough to see that they also changed the gauges. The rpm to the left is kinda 1/2 round whereas the 2007 was full circle. Would be nice if someone could get a close up pic of this detail.

Seems to be conflicting info. Here's a pic of a 2008 with navi but the gauge cluster is the same as a 2007.

Bluetooth will show up as well. But that kit will probably be a blueconnect kit that's not integrated with the audio system.

The pic supplied in the first post is the Korean version of the Veracruz. They have an LED cluster and have had a NAVI unit since the production. The US/Canada versions don't have an LED cluster, unfortunately.

Veracruz's wiht navi are already coming. They have allocated them as of now. Should arrive a month from now. Loses the CD changer and Rear seat DVD player. Doesn't come integrated with camera and bluetooth. I wonder if a foreign camera would work. As for bluetooth there is blueconnect or a specially rigged parrot kit.

RV,

Where did you get this info? Is it a reputable source? I'm shocked if Hyundai has gone through the trouble to offer an in-dash Navi and not offer a backup camera that is common in most SUV or Minivan navi units. Major mistake if this is true.

A Dealer employee. Hyundai called them and said they could allocate them for november. The first batch of navigation units have already been made. Backup camera could still show up as an accessory. Bluetooth is already coming soon. It's a port installed option or could easily be installed at the dealer. The Genesis will get backup camera, Bluetooth, and even voice recognition. It doesn't seem that the Veracruz touch screen navi will get voice recognition. I suppose it could be added on in an acessory.

I just test drove a Limited with the Navi System. Color Natural Khaki with beige 2-tone interior.

I am going through the Lemon Law on my 2006 Azera which has had issues with the airbag system. Hyundai is repurchasing my Azzy and we are moving to the Veracruz. Once the Genesis comes out I will give my wife the Veracruz and buy the new flagship.

We didn't really have much time to play with the nav system, but it was easy to view.

Does anyone have any detailed information on the nav system, such as if it has voice-command capability or if it announces the directions?

I would appreciate a link or if someone could paste in the specific features.

Thanks

nykerk,

We are in a similar situation. Hyundai is replacing our '07 Santa fe with a Veracruz. We waited a few months for the Navi but after learning it wont have a back-up camera nor integrated bluetooth we decided to pass on it and simply go with the DVD entertainment system instead. You cannot get both the Navi and DVD system and since both options include the 605 watt infiniti system we figured the DVD system would get more use with the kids and considering a better navi can be had for under $300 and take it from car to car we thought it was a simple choice for us.

We should close on our '08 Veracruz Limited fwd, DVD system next week as soon as this ISG company gets their act together. We found a Black Diamond with all black leather interior. Apparently according to the Hyundai reps in Atlanta, 50 Limited Veracruzs came with Black leather(in error). Black leather is supposed to be only available on the SE. We originally were on board with the Saddle leather but after seeing the black leather it was all over for us. We have the beige in our current Santa Fe and with the kids it is impossible to keep looking good as soils are extremely visible.

Very pleased the way Hyundai handled the replacement process. Wished it didnt have to go through the BBB process but the system worked and Hyundai has now stepped up.

Craig

If I had the choice today and had to make a decision, I personally would opt for no nav and go with the dvd entertainment system. You can get nav and bluetooth combined in a more versatile Garmin unit. I have had a few Garmins and they are outstanding. Waiting for my Nuvi 770 which fits perfectly in the sunglass holder overhead. Out of sight when not in use and just push the latch when needed and away we go. Need to make a slight mod with a dremel to get this thing perfect but other wise this will be the cats meow. Going to use the external antenna option and integrate the mounting bracket to get juice from the overhead lights. Never could understand the usefulness of an integrated unit. I travel and like to have my unit available to me wherever I go. Not much good if it's sitting in my car at the airport and I'm somewhere else is it!!

Check the genesis forum for tons of spypics. As for navi well there is a training video for dealers but Hyundai has been slow updating the site. I hear it's a nice system.

One person on another forum said the veracruz navigation system is quite nice. Even though it deletes CD Changer and Voice recognition. No bluetooth or backup camera in this unit.

Attached ImagePic of the AV and Navigation system of my 2008 GLS AWD VC. It plays DVD/CD/MP3, TV, Rear Cam and connects to my Bluetooth phone but of course not at the same time.

Here is my pics of nav system from Veracruz Limited 2008, its very simple. You have to add camera and bluetooth for hands free.

The navigation systems look real nice on the Veracruz. I just wish it came with Xenon headlamps as most vehicles in this price range have them but thats just nitpicking :57:
