Hi,

My 54 plate 1.1 Getz has developed a really nasty squealing/grinding noise which seems to come from the front drivers side wheel area.

Strangest thing is that if you break, the noise disappears until you let your foot of the break peddle.

I will take it into the garage to get looked at as soon as they can see me but I don't want my wife driving the car if the wheel is going to drop off or something!

Has anyone else experienced this or could point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Darth

Thanks for your reply, I have already got it booked in to get it changed.

I thought that if it was a worn out break pad it would make a lot more noise when you pressed the break rather than go quiet,

Anyway, it is gonna get fixed! cheers :)
