Hello everyone. I would really appreciate some feedback on this one.

I own a 2001 Accent, which I've added some 205/45/17 on it. The rear tires do rub on the fender whenever I hit a bump on the road.

I've already read a couple of posts on here, but I wondering if it's best to either have the fender professionally cut (remove the part that's rubbing it from the inside) or have them professionally bent?

I'm only going to drop the front 1.5 inches and leave the rear as it is.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

:00000732: to the forum
ask your accent question in that forum
first there is no such thing as rear fenders
the rear of a car by the wheels is called a quarter panel
around the wheel well is where the outer part of the quarter
is welded to the inner skirt cutting that is a major compremise of
the structure and will some how needs to be welded back. it will be
a lot of work and you will need a pro

we have used a base ball bat in the past to open up the wheel well some....and no i dont mean hitting it with the bat...lol use it to roll the edge to help "make" some more clearance for wider tires...that might help

^^Yep. "Rolloing" the fenders is the only safe way to do this. If you're uncomfortable with the bat idea, there is a fender rolling tool out there. Just not sure where you could aquire one.
