So I finally got my prototype made for a new style shifter ring!I made this ring out of stainless, but the rest will be aluminum.I have a shop willing to make the first batch of 30 rings for me.If I was to go ahead and put an order in for 30 pcs,I could get them to the States for $45 usd, mounting bolts and shipping in bubble wrap envelope included. The oem ring is mounted from the underside with 4 sheet metal screws. All I did was use the same hole config and used m3 bolts instead.I have to drill and tap for this type of mounting.I can easily counter bore 4 holes on the top for a top mount instead.Note if you want a different hole pattern than 4,you would have to drill into the plastic cowl accordingly. The screws I used are s.s. socket hex head cap screw.I work in a machine shop so making the ring was pretty easy for me and the hardware we had in stock. The reason I'm getting someone else to do them is simply time.I have none and he has a new shop and needs the business.Larrs
