if i may ask......WHY?

ethanol sucks. it's a much less efficient fuel (i.e. you need more of it than regular gasoline to travel the same distance), and actually causes MORE enviromental side effects than gasoline due to the labor intensive process to manufactuer it.

i don't know how this stuff ever saw the light of day, well actually i do, us americans are mostly oblivious to the things our government does.

North Americans also believe what most of us see on TV.

We are told this is good for the world and clean and helps support our struggling farmers.

Incorrect.
It's Cr*p, plain and simple.

What Dump Truck said in spades plus it's highly corrosive!
The car MUST be manufactured to use E85 and I am not aware of any car sold in N.A. that meets these requirements. All this is politically motivated without any practical use other than for the "feel good" crowd.

Chevy has a bunch of cars/trucks running around with E85 stickers on the trunks and tailgates.

Not being blackmailed by some "unfriendly" nations who would not hesitate to cut production if we don't "behave" (check the 1973 oil embargo) is A GOOD IDEA. (ooopppsss... is this regarded a POLITICAL statement?).

But the E85 is not yet a viable solution. It needs engine to be retrofitted, and it DOESN'T really save you money because it's less efficient (produces less mpg).

So, a NOBLE idea, with a promising future, maybe.

Must be in some test-markets where temperatures are warmish.
In Canada & The Northern States it may prove inefficient as it needs gas to start running.
However I think it's a patch job, eventually it will be the fuel cell that will prevail,
much more convenient and efficient.

That kit will not help you whatsoever, run normal gas. I don't know what they have in that little box, but its not worth what they want, and I can promise you will have problems down the road running junk like that.

No that's the thing about the Ethanol Industry, and your link. I have heard a couple of extra Octane for years now, and even that might have been BS. So to read this 105 Claim is incredible. :trophy:
