Hi,

I own a 2002 2.7 v6 coupe with annoying problems. First the alarm wouldnt swith off, the keyfob wasnt reponding. My dealer disarmed the alarm which meant no remote cental locking and no immobiliser. Next the wipers stopped working so I had a new wiper motor fitted. This was OK for about 2 days when they stoppped and then the electric windows packed up. Next because I had to use the key on the drivers door lock the doors motors gave up! My mechanic suspected mice had got into the loom wiring, we had that checked and couldnt see anything obvious but the local dealer has confessed that "chafing of the loom" is a very common problem in these Coupes so beware they can cost £2,000 to repair! I had all the ECUs checked and they came out OK, then the air con stopped working - a hole in the condenser apparently. This car is 5 years old with 70k on the clock hardly an old timer - is it just me? or should I just give up and buy a bike!
