My mom inherited a 2002 Elantra. The car has 63k on it and it is leaking coolant (posted in another thread). Also her transmission feels like it is slipping going into gear wether goin forward or reverse. She called the dealer and they said she is not covered till 100k because she did not pay $300 for the 100k mileage coverage? What is this? Is the dealer right? No 100k warranty?

Drives: 2007 Hyundai Accent SE 3 door hatchback
Hyundai has a standard 60k unlimited warranty, and a 100k power train warranty. You can pay the additional cost, and I am unsure of how much it was since i didn't choose to buy exstended coverage, and have the 100k unlimited warranty.

So if your mom had 63k on the car, i can see how they wouldn't cover it under warranty. Although it sucks for your mom because she inherited a disaster from what it sounds like.
