I WANT and How much is the scary question, now that hyundai has for their 1.6 ltr accent's : ram air, sway bar, cat back exhaust, springs, what else? do you guys think that being a hyundai made part that it wont be as powerful as somethin like a magnaflow or equivalent?

I don't think so. My boyfriend perked interest in the fact that the Accent has the cat back exhaust. Although he is a little worried about the sound of it. I am really looking into buying it, but he is afraid it will sound too whiny with the Accent's 1.6 liter engine. If anyone gets the exhaust, can someone post a video on how it sounds so it gives us a general idea.

Part will be out in mid Sept. at all Canadian Dealers. As for the sound I presently have the muffler on video if you want to hear it. once I get the Midpipe I'll video that as well and post it so people can hear the differance.

his muffler does sound good

i hate being debbie downer but the stealership prices are so expensive.....
wish we could get like hks, greddy, magnaflow to come out with an after market exhuast for the 1.6

but on another note...it sure is pretty!!!....lol

sounds decent on the video. How close is the sound on the video to real life? My boyfriend says the video of his muffler doesn't do his justice

Same here, it's pretty close but it sounds much better in person. Simple fact the recording was done with a cellphone, I'm hoping to get a video actually driving the car because it sounds even better under actual force verses just revving it.

i appreciate the info.. I hope to see more parts from Hyundai because my boyfriend thought the intake would sound whinny and once he heard it while driving along side in his car he said, 'WOW, it sounds nice' so now we are a little more open about the exhaust. I'll keep posted on when i will get the exhaust

i reccomend u get a custom midpipe down and get a magnaflow muffler..... the sound will not be whiny... its deep and getting custom cat-back is a lot cheaper than the dealership muffler and performance midpipe.... not hating on them but its pricey...

I did the cat back and Maganflow change over and believe me it's anything but whiney. Even the installer was amazed that our "little" 1.6 could put out such a deep sound.
