so i bought a 2nd hand 03 sonata with the 2.4l and have trying to get my CC to work i mean you push the button on the dash and the light comes on and when i get to the appropriate speed i go to set it and nothing happens and the light to designate that it is active doesn't come on in the instrument panel i thought to check the fuse and i did and all are in working order wnd i have not located a relay for it but what else might i try in order to get proper function out of it

It sounds like the cruise control servo has failed. When you are facing the engine this component is on the left mounted behind the strut tower if memory serves. It has a large connector going to it and a throttle cable going to the throttle body.

At the cruise control module you should have a pink wire, with the car running or the ignition at "on" and the master switch on for the cruise, you should have power at that wire. If you want schematics go to www.hmaservice.com and create an account there, and once logged in, click the technical service bulletin link, than select your car info from the drop down menu, then click ETM
