ok at the moment i have 4 interior blue neons in my 01 accent. one behind both front seats and one under the passenger and driver dash.

they all connect into my cigarette lighter port (i have a 1-to-4 port adapter so they all fit) and they turn on when i put my car in accessories mode or turn it on.

now my question is if there is anyway anyone knows if i can hook up these neons so they turn on when i open the door aswell? (instead of only when the car is on)

thanks :D

I'm sure you could tap from the positive wire off the dome light and that would make the lights turn on whenever a door is opened.

I'm not really sure how much voltage neon lights draw so a safe bet would be to use a relay to not overload the dome light circuit.

Be sure to post some pics when everything gets finished.

Yes it can be done. Just tap into the dome light or any light that comes on when the door is open.

If you're looking to have them on while the doors are closed as well you may need to wire in a seperate switch for this.
