Just returned from a week in Maui.
I had a Jeep reserved, but they were all gone when I arrived at Alamo.
They had a new fleet of Saturn Vues on the lot, that's what I ended up with.
The bottom line....
The Santa Fe is more comfortable, more room over all a better vehicle.
The thing that bugged me the most was the ringie sound of the engine. Sounded like a sewing machine and not near the power.
Glad I didn't buy a Vue!
Nick

Do you know if the Saturn Vue had the 4 cylinder engine? That large car does come with a 4 cylinder as standard. Great gas mileage for a SUV but no AWD available and you do have high revs on the 4 cylinder engine.

We were about to get the entry level Vue until I talked my wife into looking at the SF. The 4 banger Vue is a decent ride for 2 people in the city but I would hate to take it on long rides trying to overtake slower traffic or having any load over two people.

I'm glad we ended up with the bigger, more powerful and better warrantied vehicle.

My girls dad has a Saturn Vue Redline, V6 powered by a Honda engine.
It's no slouch by any stretch power wise....

But the interior is very lacking, especially compared to our Santa Fes

I was surprised to find out that the Vue is no longer made in Tennessee and that they are now made at GM's plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. The Equinox and Torrent "Theta platform" siblings are still built down the road at the Suzuki-GM plant in Ingersoll, Ontario with the 3.4L engine assembled in China.
