Hi all,

seems like a common problem amongst Trajets, anything older than a 2004, has flaking paint on the roof bars. has anyone successfully managed to repaint them without the problem returning,

I cant seem to post a link to it, but do a search on this form for "roof" and theres apost discussing this problem.

I have a Trajet with the same problem and Im hoping to repaint by brush, rather than removing them (which is probably a lot of hassle) and re-spraying.

However if you want to remove them, the best option would probably be to get them powder coated. This definitely last longer than just painting them. Ive enquired and itd cost about €70 to get two blasted and coated. Have a look in the Golden Pages under "Powder coating" for someone local to you.
