All,
just installed some driving lights to the getz, i've fitted them into the bumper, nothing flash but now when it comes to wiring them up i'm having a **** of a job. i was going to do 2 options..either -

1. Wire to ground then wire to power for the headlights. - Good option as no need to fit switch inside and a quicker instal.

2. put switch inside car, so it's actually 'legal' then have option of having them on or off.

the problem:

Option 1 - can't get enough spare wire between the connector to the H4 or sidelights and the wiring harness to actually get the wire out.

Option 2 - Unable to get access through the firewall - all other cars i've used the existing point where the manufacturer route their harness - in this case i can't see where it is :whistling:

any help you can offer - eg, how to gain access through the bulkhead or alternate pick up point for the non-switched version - had to operate only when ignition is on would be appreciated.\

Here is a shot from my phone so apologies if not too clear.

My aim was to light the road not covered by the headlights.

Cheers,
Paul

To get through the firewall you have to remove the wipers and then remove the whole bridge over the engine and you will see the grommet under it.
