I was looking at some wood type interior trim that goes around the console, and also there are various chrome adhesives to put on fog lights, and in between the doors on the outside, but they're all applied with an adhesive backside. Doesn't this seem pretty cheap?

Hi Bakesalee; It may be cheap, but it usually works. I purchased two chrome IVTEC name plates for my Honda CRV a few years ago. These were held on the vehicle with that double sided sticky tape made by 3M. I placed the passenger side front fender one slightly crooked and it was very difficult to remove and replace. I had to use a heat gun to soften the glue and I waited until the hottest day of the summer to do it so the car was really warm. Once the 3M tape was softened some, dental floss drawn between the fender and the emblem unstuck it enough so I could peel it loose. This 3M stuff is a lot like contact cement and I learned to make sure things were positioned in the right place the first time. Hope this helps to answer your question. Cheers...

^^That and if you ever wish to remove the items you can w/o worry of drilled holes or other attachment blemishes.
