I have a 1998 tiburon and my blinkers wont work, when i go to turn them on a whine or almost grinding sounds happens from under the lower part of the dash. what could cause this to happen, please help cant drive without blinkers!

have u checked the fuse and the bulbs? if not, it could be a relay problem. take it to a mechanic or to the dealer if u still have the warrenty...

the strange noise that you can hear is likely to be the flasher unit shorting out or maybe just not making good contact in the circuit board, try moving the unit around to see if it makes a difference if not replace the flasher unit before you try anything else

hmmm if i so might ask, where is the flasher unit located cause that's somewhat the same problem I have. I just hope it's just a big black box under the steering wheel and not integrated. If it is integrated, then dangit anyone got a solder?
