Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can assist me, in guiding me with the removal of the radio from my 2007 reg Hyundai Amica CDX. I have seen some instructions on the website, and have followed them exactly, but get stuck around step 5, - as the console will not pull foward any further than an inch or so.

If anyone could help with this it would be greatly appreciated as I have a new radio sat here.... which I would love to install in my car!

Kind thanks in advance for you help! :liebe011:

Hey! You have to remove the cables of your AC's Thermostat and Blower's air position switch. These are single hard wires which can be easily removed from steering side. Slide the switches and feel the movement sound coming from.

Thanks for your reply, I have found these two wires and removed them, but I am still unable to pull the console far enough foward to see the cables going into the switches and air conditioning, any ideas?

Thank you everyone for your help, I managed to resolve this now, and I now have a JVC radio installed.

Basically in the 07 model you need to use the radio removal tool, then a couple of flat headed screw drivers to prize the unit out. There is no need to remove all the trim surrounding the radio unless you really want to!

Next issue: as soon as the igntion is switched off all the EQ, presets and last track of cd playing is lost! The old radio used to switch on with the ignition off but this one does not seem to do that!

Any ideas
Ed

Check that the LIVE cable and SWITCHED LIVE cables are going to the correct connectors.
