Hi fellows!
On my Hyundai's engine it is written "Do not wash with water" and I have heard the cases in which people washed the engine with water and they got their ECU or some other electronics burnt.
Then how to wash it?
Is it safe to use diesel spray to wash the engine thoroughly?

there has been a lot of topics about this before. l personally would never advise anyone to wash the engine bay down with any type of jet/steam or pressure wash system. l have seen people do this countless times in the past and then spend the next three hours trying to start the engine again. if you must wash the engine bay do it by hand and keep any cleaning solution and water away from any main electrical parts.. however a lot of people have jet washed thier engines and got away with it so it's up to you if you want to take a chance

you have to be smart and cover up any electronics(ie ecu) or if you have a short ram intake the filter.....

i have power washed many engine bays in my time and have never had a problem with the starting the first time i turned the key and drove off....

i also let mine just idle for a few minutes to help it come to upto temp to help expidate the drying process....
