Drives: 1995 Hyundai Lantra
The dashboard light suddenly went dim yesterday.
I had a look at the bulbs but they all seem ok (I am assuming that I looked at the right ones - they were three larger bulbs in the back of the display each covered with a blue plastic cap). All seemed ok and had similar resistances. I suppose it could be that the dimmer switch has broken - it certainly does not alter the light intensity.

Any advice anyone?

I had the same problem when my dynamo broke down, for a couple of days the lights were dimmed, butt then the dynamo gave more volt's and some lights broke, at that time i realised it was the dynamo.

try messering the volt's from the dynamo or battery, could also be a completly different problem as you sugested.
