But yes Motd........It's going on. Alot worse than is being let on. As us planet parasites keep reproducing like we have over the last few hundred years it will get even worse. But good ole Earth will probably lay down a good case of bird flu and get rid of about half of us before we totally destroy ourselves. Dinosaurs made good fuel...why can't we ? Grandma dies...have her refined and put her in the tank.
But all kidding aside......It is a big issue. (As I drive my full size car ) The guilt !!

The Earth is in a continual cycle of warming, and subsequent cooling (we're talking ice ages here). This has been going on for many billions of years. Humans are but a speck on the Earth's timeline. We aren't 'causing' 'Global Warming', though chopping down all our trees, emptying the seas of fish, and filling the air with chemicals that simply will never go away aren't exactly the cleverest of things to do.
Aren't controversial things fun?

SO TRUE!!!!

We are so conceited that we think we can stop or slow down one of earth natural cycles. Earth measures its cycles in hundreds of thousand of years and during the last big cycle we weren't even here. Many species went extinct in the past and new ones appeared, it's very possible that one of the species to become extinct could be the human one and no matter what we do we cannot stop this cycle, unfortunately.

There will always be balancing mechanisms to restore equilibrium. Even if nature doesn't do the honours, we humans will achieve it ourselves by wiping each other out,... or at least wiping out some of the weaker nations/communities to make space. It is inevitable either way.

After mass-destruction, disaster, ill-fate... somewhere among the damned, a new blade of grass will always grow.

Perhaps then global warming will have its chance to recede once we get rid of its contributors.
