When traveling up I-5 in Calif. traveling about 75MPH, I hear an eary screeching sound. The wind was towards me at about 25MPH so the combined speed was around 100. When I slowed to about 65 the sound went away. No, it wasn't a siren for going too fast!! Anyone have similar noises?

I just had mine on a 1,000 mile trip with speeds up to 85 and no noise. The only thing I had was a little extra wind noise up top due to the soft carrier that was strapped to the roof. Even that was not too excessive. I have to say that it was a great ride. After driving home for 9.5 hours I was not even fatigued! I am so glad that we got this van. It has been real nice for our family.

I got a suggestion. SLOW DOWN and DRIVE like you have a brain. Wind noise will increase as you go faster and at what angle the air hits your vehicles surfaces.

Is there a piece of plastic (that white and clear stuff they put on to protect the paint during shipping) from delivery of the van still stuck on the van somewhere? That caused a horrible noise for me once.

Do you have the cross bars installed on the roof rack? If so, move them as far backwards as you can when not in use.

They will add noise at higher speeds.

I also have experienced very loud wind noice with my 2008 Entourage at speeds above 65 mph. It is a howl or screeching noise and happens on windy days. It is impossible to determine exactly where it originates but I have removed the wiper blades and that did not make a difference. I do not have crossbars on the roof rack.

Figured this one out if it is the same thing.
My windshield got replaced under warranty (the wiper heater shorted and cracked it).
After that on the highway I would get a really load noise under certain conditions (I think crosswinds/passing trucks played into it).
It was very loud and sounded like a party blower or someone blowing a piece of reed between their hands if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I located it by pressing on the windshield when it happened and found it would go away when I press at the edge just to the left of the rear view mirror.
I put a dab of clear silicone caulk at that spot on the outside - in the window seal to prevent the 'flappy' edge of the window seal from vibrating.
No noise since.

Got the tip from a Subaru website - seems to be a problem for them too...
