Hi Guys,

I have purchased this Hyundai Santro from India and its suppose to be the Indian version of Atos. However the car came with built in Central Locking System without a remote. However I wanted to add a remote and alarm to it, but the alarm I had was for the Five wire master actuator and the one in the car was four wire so I am confused. I have attached a picture of the master actuator from the driver's side with an inset of the wire connectors. Anyones help is appreciated.

Thanks

Dear Dzongda,

We are not ignoring you. the Atos and the Santro were never imported to the U.S.

What year is your car?

Dear dzonga,

I will assume that the Atos and Santro use similar components as the Hyundai Accent model imported to the U.S. All of the power door actuators for the Accent have only a 4 wire system.

The coupler is a 4 wire female connector. that indicates that the five wire male connector on your aftermarket remote and alarm will need to be modified. You have one wire too many! You will need to consult the installation manual for your aftermarket remote and alarm to figure out which wire is uneccessary.

Dear byronguidry3732,

Thanks for the helpful information you have provided. The alarm I have is meant for the ones which have five wire Master door actuator, now the manual I have with the car alarm just indicates to cut the two wires running out to the other doors and connect it to the alarm system. I am still trying to crack my head on the wiring diagram of the actuator I got from the Hyundai website but still no clue on what goes where etc.

I will try to open the passenger door panel and see if that actuator also uses four wires or just two and post the picture here A.S.A.P

Till then thanks again for the prompt reply.

Dear dzongda,

Will you also please post the pictures of an Atos? I have never seen one.

Will you also please post the picture of the aftermarket remote and alarm? I am interested if the wire colors match between the electrical coupling on the door power lock actuator and the the electrical coupling on the remote and alarm.

Byron

Dear byronguidry3732,

Here is the picture of the car the model is Dec 2005. It has power windows, AC and power steering.

I will try to take some pictures of the car alarm but basically its similar to all the after market alarms which u get with immobiliser etc. Apart from the wires going to other connections there are four wires which come out of the alarm one white and brown, another is green and blue. I also saw an after market actuator and it has the exact color codes of wires on it, white and brown and green and blue and a black for the ground.

However the actuator in the car has just the four wires I showed you. Still then I will take a picture and post it here.

Thanks again.

You cant use that 5 wire actuator nor you can cut those motor wires running through all the doors. Need to install a 2 wire actuator in drivers door which will move the locking lever.

Hyundai offers excellent kits HRE 1170 , HKE 4170 , Cobra kits for this vehicle with one 2-wire actuators. and they are very economic too. I think Rs.2500 they sell the most economic kit.

Similar kits Maruti sells at Rs 5000 !!!!

Dear BYRONQUIDRY 3732

Colorado is not TOO far from Mexico (!) so have a peep across the border, they sell the new-style ATOS there, for a mere $ 7,500.

A Bargain if ever there was one. (Badged, can you believe as a "DODGE" )

Best wishes from an Atos owner here in the Caribbean, where is survives REAL punishment on these roads etc etc.

Hi,

First of all, after many search in the Internet, i'm very happy to find a first solution to my Pb.

I'm trying to connect a REMOTE CONTROL ( http://www.velleman.be/fr/en/product/view/?id=352746) to my central door lock of my ATOS PRIME (the central is similar to the one on this feed).

Can you help me.
