I just found this site. I have not yet looked around, but was hoping anybody could help me.

2 Questions.

What air filter do my car take??? model number, or brief description, is, round with hole in, or sqare block?

and, do it have a fan belt and a timing belt?

1995 Lantra LS 1.5... Bought in UK?

I can give the engine number to if it would help?

Please explain to me like you would like to a child, as the brain is not that fast anymore...

you should be able to buy an air filter for your car at any good car parts shop or a main dealer as they are not hard to come by. your car has got a camshaft drive belt and an auxillary drive belt. if you do not know the history of the last cam. belt change get it changed now for your own peace of mind, a broken belt will prove to be very expensive.
