Dear Lin,
Sorry to hear of your squeaking problem in the rear. Solving a squeak can be mind-numbing. Your problem could be just one bolt that is loose by less than one full turn. I did check the Tech Service Bulletins to see if their is a systemic reported problem with squeaks in the rear, but found none.
Will the dealer fix this as a warranty item? If no, the repair is tedious but not mechanically difficult. You will need a non-hardening rubbery compound for the bolts like Permatex RTV Silicone Sealant. See
http://www.permatex.com/products/automotiv...ive_Sealant.htmFirst, narrow your search. Have someone sit in the back while you drive around to identify that the squeak is coming from the left side, right side, or tailgate.
Check your tailgate striker alignment. Each striker can be adjusted left and right. Inspect your tailgate as it closes to see that it grips tightly and is not the cause of your squeak.
Still squeaking? You will have to remove the inner panel from the tail gate. Remove all the bolts one at a time inside the the internal cavity of the tail gate. Place a small blob of Permatex on the shaft near the head of each bolt, re-install and tighten all the bolts back down. The Permatex creates a rubber cushion layer around the bolt and the item the bolt is securing.
